Fluorocarbon aluminum panel manufacturer: Fluorocarbon aluminum panel painting process treatment
Jun 07,2021
The surface of fluorocarbon aluminum panels is generally pre-treated through processes such as anodizing, followed by fluorocarbon spraying. The fluorocarbon coating uses polyvinylidene fluoride resin (KANAR500) for the topcoat and clear coat. It is typically divided into two, three, or four coats. The fluorocarbon coating layer has excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance, capable of withstanding acid rain, salt spray, and various air pollutants, with outstanding performance against heat and cold, and can resist strong ultraviolet radiation, maintaining its color and preventing chalking for a long time, resulting in a long service life. The coating of fluorocarbon aluminum panels uses imported materials such as those from PPG in the United States as the main raw material for spraying, and the spraying process is divided into three layers.
The first layer is the base layer, which serves to seal the aluminum alloy substrate, increasing the adhesion of the topcoat to the metal surface and enhancing the coating's impermeability, thereby strengthening the protective effect on the substrate. It also helps stabilize the metal surface layer, ensuring uniform color of the substrate layer, with a typical thickness of 10-15 microns.
The second layer is the intermediate layer, located between the base layer and the outer layer, forming the topcoat. Its main function is coloring, sprayed with color materials corresponding to the customer's color requirements based on the color card. The manufacturer of fluorocarbon aluminum panels states that a well-applied topcoat not only meets the customer's design appearance requirements but also protects the metal surface of the fluorocarbon aluminum panel from atmospheric pollutants, effectively avoiding corrosion from acid rain and polluted gases, significantly extending the lifespan of the fluorocarbon aluminum panel.
The third layer is the outer layer, also known as the gloss coat. The manufacturer of carbon aluminum panels explains that the main function of the fluorocarbon paint is to enhance the protective function of the spray layer, making the color of the intermediate layer less prone to fading, while also increasing the color gloss of the fluorocarbon aluminum panel, making its appearance more vibrant.
