Characteristics and Identification Methods of Fluorocarbon Aluminum Plastic Panels
Sep 29,2022
In recent years, fluorocarbon aluminum-plastic panels have gradually entered the home decoration industry. The aluminum-plastic panels undergo surface treatment and use painted aluminum-plastic panels as their surface, along with high-quality decorative materials: polyethylene waste board as the core layer. With excellent material performance, they have been promoted by many decoration companies and are widely used by many decoration users. It is believed that most people find it difficult to distinguish the quality of aluminum-plastic panels. Let's take a look at the characteristics and identification methods of fluorocarbon aluminum-plastic panels.
1. Characteristics of fluorocarbon aluminum-plastic panels
Because it is composed of two completely different materials, aluminum-plastic panels retain the main characteristics of the raw materials while overcoming the disadvantages of the material composition. They possess many excellent properties, such as weather resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, fire resistance, thermal insulation, sound insulation, and earthquake resistance, and are easy to process and shape, facilitating transportation and installation, which can improve construction speed.
They are very environmentally friendly and do not pollute the environment. Generally speaking, aluminum-plastic panels are divided into two categories: exterior wall engineering panels and interior wall decorative panels. For home decoration, the second category is usually chosen, which is further divided into double-sided and single-sided. Double-sided aluminum-plastic panels are made of rust-resistant high-strength aluminum alloy, while single-sided ones only have aluminum alloy, with slightly lower strength but also at a much cheaper price. Aluminum-plastic panels use a hot-press spraying process, resulting in a uniform paint film color and strong adhesion, which does not easily peel off after being scratched.
It is necessary to establish a scientific development concept, enhance service functions, and promote the sustainable, rapid, coordinated, and healthy development of the aluminum-plastic panel industry, fully utilizing the association's role as a bridge, coordinator, service provider, and self-discipline function to create a favorable environment for the development of the aluminum-plastic panel industry. Technology is the foundation of the aluminum-plastic panel industry's development. Only through continuous technological innovation and progress can the aluminum-plastic panel industry sustain its development. As a new type of decorative material, an organic and inorganic composite material, it possesses many excellent properties, but it still requires continuous development and progress, as the market and demand are not static, and technology is constantly improving.
2. Identification methods for fluorocarbon aluminum-plastic panels
1. Visually inspect the aluminum-plastic panel for flatness, checking for ripples, bubbles, and scratches.
2. Measure the thickness of the aluminum-plastic panel to ensure it meets national production requirements—3mm for interior wall panels and over 4mm for exterior wall panels, while the thickness of the aluminum-plastic panel should reach 0.5mm.
3. Lift one corner of the aluminum-plastic panel to check for cracks. A broken core indicates it is made from mixed waste plastic, while a non-brittle core is made from PE material.
4. Burn the broken plastic core; genuine PE material will be completely burned away, while unburned impurities indicate adulteration.
5. When using a planer to groove or bend, check the front side for cracks. Cracks on the front indicate defective material, while no cracks indicate PE material.
6. Differentiate using chemical materials; use butanone to distinguish the fluorocarbon coating on exterior wall panels; use xylene to differentiate the coating on interior wall panels, and after 5 minutes, wipe off the reagent to see if the base is visible.
7. Request the manufacturer's quality inspection report, warranty, and national quality certification to verify if the manufacturer adheres to standard production.
